Discussions, films, keynote presentations, hands-on activities, tours, and more to help you work for meaningful climate action in your local community – with your municipal/city council, school boards, and other local institutions.

Meet youth from across the province, climate leaders, journalists, professors, and politicians with an interest in seeing effective climate action at the local level.

Added bonus: learn about study and career paths that will allow you to continue to work for the climate action we need and want.

Thanks to generous funding from the Government of Canada the University of Windsor, and other sponsors (scroll down to see some of our sponsors), we are able to offer this workshop at no cost to participants (with all on-site costs, including shared hotel accommodations and meals, as well as bus transportation from Toronto and London to Windsor, covered).

We also have some funds to provide travel stipends to support youth coming from more remote areas.  Please contact us with any questions.

Many more details to come – follow us on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook @CityClimateAct.

A note for parents/guardians: students will be supervised by university student councillors throughout their time in Windsor (including overnight) and on buses from Toronto and London.  Please contact us at [email protected] if you have any questions.

A note for teachers: while students do not need to attend this event as a formal school/board-sanctioned activity, we are open to you registering with a group of students.  Please contact us with any questions.  If organizing a school group, we’d ask you to consider encouraging students to make contingency plans in the case of strike action impacting your plans.
