Aadil Nathani and Ali Tejani, members of the Windsor Law Cities and Climate Action Forum and Windsor Law graduates, and Maleeha Shahid, municipal councillor in Whitby, Ontario, co-hosted a ‘hands-on’ workshop on creating an effective municipal council delegation.
Participating as a delegate in a municipal council or a standing committee of council is an important way to get your climate message across to councillors and get some public attention for your message. As many municipal councils are moving online for the coming months, being able to make your point “virtually” is more important than ever.
Building on recent successful in-person session on this topic, Cities and Climate Action Forum members and soon-to-be Windsor Law graduates Aadil Nathani and Ali Tejani, and Whitby municipal councillor Maleeha Shahid, lead participants through the basics of creating and delivering an effective 5-minute delegation presentation.
