Screen Arts, Culture and Community Building in the Motorcity

Centre for Cities Director and Associate Professor Anneke Smit is part of a team awarded with a $24,600 SSHRC Partnership Engage Grant for “Developing The Windsor International Film Festival’s Year-Round Impact” (January 2020). The project will assess how the film festival, which welcomed more than 42,000 visitors during its 2019 run, can best meet the needs and interests of the larger community during the year through WIFF 365 programming, including capacity-building workshops for community and advocacy groups.
