Project Based External Placement with Windsor Downtown Safety and Security Roundtable

Centre for Cities affiliate and Associate Professor Gemma Smyth is now accepting applications for 2(two) 2L or 3L students to work with Professor Smyth and the Windsor Wellbeing Downtown Safety and Security Roundtable in the Winter 2022 term.

This Project Based External Placement is a 3-credit experiential learning placement in which Law students will support the Roundtable on issues relevant to downtown Windsor, including policy development around poverty, homelessness, addictions, drug consumption and treatment, and community development. Students should bring collaborative, anti-oppressive and harm reduction lenses to this work, which will include collaboration with a variety of community stakeholder groups. Students will be required to attend Roundtable meetings and conduct research relevant to issues that arise, and write a minimum of one blog post.
