AM800 Citybuilding: Brian Yeomans of Windsor Light Music Theatre on Upcoming Sound of Music Productions: Theatre as a Communitybuilder

Brian Yeomans, a cast member of the Windsor Light Music Theatre, joined host Dan MacDonald to speak on the group’s current production of The Sound of Music, as well as the broader role that theatre plays in community building, culture, and placemaking. Brian plays the lead male, Captain Von Trapp, in this classic musical, which continues at the Chrysler Theatre this Friday and Saturday at 7:30 and Sunday at 2:00 PM (November 24, 25, & 26, 2023). Dan and Brian reflect on how theatre brings people together, sparks new conversations, and attracts people downtown, injecting social, cultural, and economic capital into our city’s downtown core. Dan remarks that the show is a “Broadway-caliber” production and that, in Windsor’s diverse theatre scene, there’s something for everyone.
