Biography: Sharon Woods

Sharon has over 30 years of experience in the field of market research and analysis; and has been a professional consultant for the last 20 of those years. Her entire career has focused on conducting market studies to identify gaps for new housing and retail opportunities. These studies help inform developers on the magnitude of local market potential based on the fundamentals of supply and demand. Her unique approach to Target Market Analysis will the focus of this session.

Sharon is a Certified Counselor of Real Estate (“CRE”), which qualifies her to consult directly with developers on site-specific projects and opportunities for residential units and retail space. She is a faculty member with the Incremental Development Alliance; serves as Vice President for the Michigan chapter of the Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU); serves on the resource council for the Form Based Codes Institute; and is certified by National Charrette Institute (NCI). Last but not least, LandUseUSA is also DBE-certified through a national program supporting disadvantaged businesses; and has qualified by being a 100% woman-owned small business.
